Organic cotton baby clothes (0-24m), made in Canada since 2008
Babies are in clothes 23 hours of every 24. Their skin is also roughly 30% thinner than yours. The fabric matters more on a baby than on anyone else in the family - by an unusually large margin.
Fabric is against their skin while they sleep, eat, learn motor coordination, and regulate body temperature, which means the choice of baby clothes is a 23-hour decision, not a wardrobe one. mini mioche's organic cotton baby clothes are built around that fact.
Every piece in this collection is 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton, grown without synthetic pesticides or GMO seeds, processed without chlorine bleach or formaldehyde, and dyed without carcinogenic AZO dyes. No PFAS finishes. No flame retardants (snug-fit sleepers meet US flammability rules without chemical treatment). No polyester blends sneaking microplastics into the fabric your baby sleeps in.
mini mioche cotton has been GOTS-certified end to end since 2008 - long before 'sustainable' became a buzzword.Β We're a Canadian brand, founded in Toronto in 2008, and we still make the entire line here. Made in Canada isn't a marketing line stitched onto the label; it's the actual factory, audited, traceable, and 20 minutes from our Toronto shop.
What's in this collection
Onesies, bodysuits, sleepers, sleeper rompers, baby pants, baby tees, baby blankets, and accessories, all sized 0 to 24 months. The line is gender-neutral by design, with a core palette of neutrals (natural, navy, black, heather grey) and a layer of neutral-adjacent accent colours (thyme, vintage plum, sky, and blossom) that are timeless and hand-down-able.
How to think about sizing
mini mioche cuts run true to age. A 6-month onesie fits a 6-month-old comfortably, not snugly. For sleepers specifically, we recommend sizing in line with our size guide rather than chronological age, since the snug-fit requirement matters for flammability compliance. Our size guide covers both.
Why GOTS-certified matters for baby skin
Most "organic cotton" labels in the baby category mean only that the cotton fiber was grown organically. GOTS-certified means the entire chain of custody from field to finished garment passes independent third-party audits, including chemistry restrictions on every wet-process step. No formaldehyde in the wrinkle-resist finish. No PFAS in the stain-release finish. No chlorine bleach in the whitening step. No heavy metals in the dyes. The label is the audit.
Pairs well with
The onesies collection for daily basics. The sleeper rompers collection for night and naps and one-piece daywear. Our lounge pants and leggings are made for minis that start to move. And when you buyΒ 5+ pieces, you automatically save 20%. Our guide to bamboo vs organic cotton sleepers walks through what's actually in the bamboo-viscose alternative.

the story behind our organic baby essentials
mini mioche began with the search for baby clothes that were truly clean, soft, and timeless. We couldnβt find them, so we made our own. Every piece in the baby collection is made from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton with non-toxic dyes and absolutely no polyester or plastic. Knit and sewn ethically in Canada, these pieces are designed for everyday wear, milestone moments, and everything in between - the kind of clothes youβll want to keep long after theyβve been outgrown.
common questions about organic cotton baby clothes
Is organic cotton actually better for babies?
For finished-fabric chemistry, yes. Conventional cotton is one of the most pesticide-intensive crops in the world, and the residues persist in fiber through processing. Organic cotton avoids that upstream exposure. GOTS-certified organic cotton goes further by banning the post-fiber chemistry too: no formaldehyde, no PFAS, no chlorine bleach, no AZO dyes.
What does GOTS-certified mean?
GOTS is the Global Organic Textile Standard, the strictest international certification for organic textiles. To carry the mark, every step from fiber to finished garment passes independent audits covering fiber, chemistry, wastewater, labour, and chain of custody.
Are mini mioche baby clothes flame-retardant treated?
No. Our snug-fit sleepers meet US sleepwear flammability regulations (16 CFR 1615/1616) by being snug-fitting (path 2 of the regulation), not by chemical treatment. Untreated organic cotton is naturally flammable, like all cellulose, which is exactly why the snug-fit path exists. Snug fit is the safest option for a chemical-free sleep and fully approved with North American children's sleepwear regulations.
What sizes do mini mioche baby clothes come in?
0 to 24 months across the baby line. Sleepers are size 0-3, 3-6, 6-12, 12-18, and 18-24 months. Onesies and bodysuits match the same range.
Are these clothes made in Canada?
Yes. mini mioche has manufactured in Canada continuously since 2008. The Made in Canada label is the legal disclosure of where the garment was knit, cut, and sewn.
How do I care for organic cotton baby clothes?
Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. No bleach, no fabric softener (it leaves a film that reduces absorbency). The fabric softens with every wash and holds shape through hundreds of cycles, which is the point of buying 100% organic cotton in the first place.
